Chevron Lubricants Lanka PLC the leader in the lubricants market in Sri Lanka recently conducted an advance training program on lubricant technology for the teaching staff of Sri Lanka-German Training Institute (SLGTI) in Kilinochchi. SLGTI was established to offer meaningful vocational training for young adults. The institute offers a diverse range of trainings like automotive, construction, food processing technology, mechanical engineering including electrical and electronic technology as well as information and communication technology.
This training program conducted by the preeminent technical knowledge experts in Sri Lanka was to gear the future generation of automobile engineers with the latest and the most advance knowledge on automotive lubrication technology. This program was specially designed to enhance the knowledge of SLGTI lecturers with a more practical and insightful understanding of the lubricant technology and industry dynamics, both locally and globally.
The training program was held on 10 November at the SLGTI auditorium in Kilinochchi. The program was an interactive, well-structured one-day session conducted by Chevron Lubricants Lanka PLC Lead Technical Manager Hilary Fernando. The main areas covered in the training program were lubricant fundamentals, lubricant formulation, automotive engine oil technology, gear oil technology and introduction to grease. At the conclusion of this training program the SLGTI lecturers received recognition for their participation and sharing of knowledge.
