PickMe, the country’s leading technology based mobility solutions provider, has collaborated with the company’s insurance representative, George Steuart Insurance Brokers to further enhance the value of services offered to passengers and its driver partners of its ride hailing platform. Accordingly, George Steuart is set to facilitate insurance coverage for accidental death, permanent disability and hospitalisation in case of an accident to all PickMe passengers with an insurance policy underwritten by Orient Insurance Ltd.
Commenting on the collaboration and insurance scheme, George Steuart Insurance Brokers Director/CEO Joachim Caspersz said, “PickMe’s innovative spirit resonates well with us as we consistently seek to offer insurance solutions that cater to the needs of the modern world. This insurance scheme is part and parcel of our efforts to offer unique products and make an impactful difference.”
The insurance scheme provides a maximum medical insurance cover of up to Rs. 200,000 along with an entitlement of up to Rs. 500,000 in case of partial disability, permanent disability or death due to an accident. Moreover, the insurance scheme offers third party bodily injury cover up to Rs. 10 million and third party property damage cover up to Rs. 500,000.
