After a challenging year fighting the global coronavirus pandemic, Sri Lanka as a nation that relies heavily on its tourism is ready to reopen its doors to international travellers. Tourism stakeholders at all levels have come together to ensure that we get back on track.
In an effort to support the tourism industry rebuild, top notch exclusive and comprehensive transport solutions partner Transcend Drive has also taken stringent measures to ensure the health and safety of its passengers and staff. Certified ‘safe and secure’ following a comprehensive audit of Transend’s processes and services by the Sri Lanka Tourist Board, the company is ready to welcome travellers to the paradise isle.
During the lockdown period Transcend Drive went into strategy mode, taking into consideration the requirements for the ‘new normal’ and making changes to its daily operations. The fleet of vehicles managed by the company went through extensive sanitisation procedures while the staff received training on health and safety guidelines.
The company is now ready to welcome travellers and fulfil the transport needs of those arriving in the island. Continuing sanitisation measures, all vehicles after completion of a journey undergo routine cleaning and vacuuming of all interior surfaces using only international standard sanitisers, while exteriors are thoroughly washed down. The vehicles are then disinfected using electro static spaying technology with products such as Oxonia Active from Eco Labs, USA. It is then clearly tagged that the vehicle is sanitised as required, and the date and time of the sanitation process is also mentioned so that the guest travelling rests assured. The seats have a special cover which will only be removed in the presence of the guest at the time of pick-up to ensure that it is freshly cleaned and sanitised. All vehicles are also fitted with a separation screen to ensure further protection. Guests are provided with amenities such as hand sanitisers, disinfectant wipes and a box of tissues as well.
All these safety measures are easily administered and monitored as the company owns its fleet of vehicles which includes European luxury brands such as Jaguar, Land Rover, Volvo, Mercedes and Audi. All Chauffeurs are employed by the company and they come with a wealth of experience in the industry and are highly trained.
Meanwhile, all chauffeurs undergo the sanitisation protocols and thereafter kept in-house in a bio-secure bubble during the period that they discharge their duties. When a chauffeur arrives for a pickup he is attired in PPE, while random PCR tests are carried out among chauffeurs and other staff members periodically.
Whilst employing the best in class, advanced vehicle tracking technology all trips are monitored and traceable in order to keep track of every movement, Transcend Drive is in a position to provide data if the necessity arises.
With its own fleet of luxurious European vehicles Transcend Drive manages all travel needs of guests at their partner hotels that include Shangri-La Colombo and Hambantota, Cinnamon Grand and Lakeside, Hilton Colombo, Weligama Bay Marriott and the Anantara Resort, Kalutara.
