Euro Motors Ltd. (JAC sole agent), a leading automobile company in the forefront of providing economical solutions to Sri Lanka’s transportation needs, symbolically handed over a fleet of trucks recently to ACL Cables PLC and Kelani Cables PLC, two of the pioneering companies in electrical transmission and communication cables manufacturing, further strengthening trade relations.
This event was ceremoniously held at the Bandaranaike Memorial Centre on 16 January, with the participation of a large distinguished gathering including senior executive officers of Euro Motors, ACL Cables PLC Managing Director Suren Madanayake, Director Daya Wahalathanthri, and Kelani Cables PLC Chief Executive Officer Mahinda Saranapala.
ACL Cables Group had been provided with over 20 trucks as the initial step, and another 50 trucks were handed over to them on this day as the second stage.
Speaking at the event, Euro Motors Director Ravindra Senaratne said he was humbly pleased over the possibility of providing a large number of JAC vehicles to two of the reputed Sri Lankan electrical and cable suppliers right away and also over the trust placed on JAC vehicles and Euro Motors by those companies. He further said that the number of people purchasing JAC trucks keeps increasing day-by-day, since the vehicle has practically proved its motto; ‘Carrying the biggest load giving no worries to the mind’.
Suren Madanayake said during the event that high quality, excellent aftersales service, and ample spare parts availability (through Euro Motors’ own outlets and dealer network) of JAC vehicles imported and distributed by Euro Motors, as well as their efficient way of providing services and solutions, also influenced them to purchase a fleet of trucks in this manner for the second time. Madanayake further added that this initiative had been taken for the betterment of ACL and Kelani Cables dealers, as well as to improve their efficiency.
Euro Motors, which has won the confidence of Sri Lanka’s automobile industry for almost two decades, is the country’s sole agent for JAC trucks, and is also a pioneering company in the area of importing and selling trucks.
To date, over 75 JAC trucks have been purchased by companies affiliated to ACL Group of Companies. The purchase of a large fleet of JAC vehicles by ACL Cables Company has not taken place at once in this manner before. Three models of JAC trucks had been purchased first, and they had been tested under varying conditions for over a period of about six months.
Thereafter, the company had decided to purchase 20 trucks in the first stage and 50 trucks in this manner in the second stage. At the same time, ACL Cables said they are due to purchase more JAC vehicles in the future.
At present, there are a large number of corporate customers who have purchased over 20 JAC vehicles, and it is a matter that has brought immense pride to Euro Motors Company. At the same time, this fact alone amply demonstrates the high quality, durability of JAC vehicles and the level aftersales services provided by the company.
Euro Motors, which imports and distributes world-renowned ‘JAC’ branded trucks, has introduced a range of vehicles suitable for the country’s road network as well as the economic status of consumers, having recognised the country’s transportation and goods distribution needs. Among these vehicles are 10.5 feet single-wheel and double-wheel vehicles, 12.5, 14.5, 18.5, 20 feet-long single-wheel/double-wheel crew cabs and double cabs.
JAC trucks have been able to retain a high level of confidence among Sri Lankan customers due to factors such as quality, durability, least maintenance cost, fuel efficiency and mainly due to affordable prices. Single proprietors, small businesses, as well as top, large companies today are JAC customers, and they operate in a variety of sectors including construction and engineering, goods transportation and distribution, hotel and tourism, health services, land and property sales, trade and services supplying, agriculture and plantation. Furthermore, a number of State sector customers are also among them.
Euro Motors is due to introduce to the market during the first quarter of 2019 a range new vehicles comprising of high quality, upgraded gear systems (Transmission Unit) as well as engines with Euro 4 technology, powered by Anti-Locking Break Systems.
