Caboo Cabs to be launched soonCaboo Cabs, which attempts to revolutionise the Sri Lankan taxi industry by introducing a wide range of transport solutions that will benefit the customers as well as vehicle owners, will be launched soon.
While other main taxi services are limited to Colombo, Caboo Cabs will be operational throughout the country. Any person with a smart phone can download the Caboo Cabs app and book a vehicle.
Caboo Cabs Managing Director Roshan Hasim said that there will be no hidden charges and that the fares will be cheaper than in other services. “In a regular taxi service not everyone gets the same rate. But we are not like that. We charge one rate any time, any place. Moreover Caboo Cabs can be accessed in any part of the country. The service which is available in Colombo, is available in Galle or Ampara,” he said.
Caboo Cabs will also introduce a concessionary rate for those who frequently use the service.
A bonus, charged per each kilometre travelled, will be added to the customer’s account and those who use the service frequently will be able to access a number of benefits. Caboo Cabs has a large fleet of vehicles, ranging from three-wheelers to luxury cars. Thus any transport need of any person could be met.
Moreover vehicle owners that join Caboo Cabs will also receive a number of benefits. “We will take them in without charging any money. In fact we give them funds because we want to create a cab owner who is not in debt. We also do not want exploit those who join us. Therefore vehicle owners who join us receive a number of benefits. They can also work with us while doing other jobs,” Hasim said.
Caboo Cabs will also be launched in Nepal simultaneous to its launch in Sri Lanka. Caboo Holdings, which is a 100% local company, plans to expand to other countries too.
