Browns Batteries, a Strategic Business Unit (SBU) of Brown and Company Plc, successfully concluded its dealer convention at the Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo recently.
The convention saw the participation of over 650 participants, including Browns battery dealers. The theme of the event this year was ‘Browns Bala Adhipathi Balamuluwa’.
The Browns Battery Dealer Convention celebrates the achievements of Browns battery dealers who have showcased exceptional performances in terms of sales volume, year-on-year growth, market coverage, customer service and business development. It is also a platform for all dealers across the island to sharpen their knowledge on product innovation, product development and the future operational plans of the division.
The event was graced by Browns Group Executive Chairman Ishara Nanayakkara as Chief Guest, while Brown and Company Plc Chief Operating Officer Danesh Abeyrathne, ABM Ceylon Chief Executive Officer M. Ramachandran, the Board of Directors of Brown and Company Plc and the senior management of the LOLC Group were also present.
Premium Battery Service in Moratuwa, Dhananjaya Battery in Homagama and Lustre Enterprise in Panadura were named the All-Island Best Dealers for Exide, Lucas and Dagenite respectively. Moreover, Mahee Enterprises in Moratuwa was declared the winner in the All-Island category of Exide motorcycle batteries. Apart from recognising individual dealers, the Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka State Trading (General) Corporation Ltd. and Swarnakalum Group Ltd. were also felicitated for their patronage throughout the year.
The night’s winners walked away with valuable prizes such as air tickets for overseas tours, motorcycles and household electronic appliances. The night culminated with entertainment acts which featured performances by dance groups and famous comedians.
