Industry newcomer proves its effectiveness in its first year

Ad industry newcomer and fledgling Advertising Agency WORDS stood tall at the just concluded Effie Awards 2010 when it was awarded 2 Bronze awards in recognition of its work on Sampath Bank’s Credit Cards and Pizza Hut respectively.

 Winning 2 awards out of just 16 awards presented, firmly established the Agency’s standing among the industry’s top rung Agency names in the country.

 “The WORDS Team came together driven by a shared vision of creating an Agency that was known for delivering effective communications. We believed that today’s demanding business environment called for communications partners to be held more accountable and responsible for the marcom solutions that they provide.  We felt that we had developed a business model that would successfully deliver on our promises. And our beliefs are sufficiently vindicated today,” WORDS Managing Director Rohan Rajaratnam said.

“Winning an Effie Award is in our view the highest achievement that an Advertising Agency can strive for, and as such we positioned ourselves distinctly as an ‘Effie Agency’, and so we are extremely happy to have been able to establish our dream in our first year of business,” he added.

 “Being effective is at the core of every aspect of our business” Rohan said adding “Our process of unearthing consumer insights to translating them into the optimal communications for our clients ensures that we deliver on our numbers.”
