TELiBrahma, India’s leading mobile advertising solutions company specialising in augmenting real world context with digital engagements, announced its partnership with Wijeya Newspapers Ltd. to offer interactive print content live on readers’ mobile/tab.
TELiBrahma announced the partnership with Wijeya Newspapers Group for augmenting both their editorial and advertising content across the Sinhalese paper Ada and the English paper Daily Mirror.
Ada and Daily Mirror publications of Wijeya Newspapers are two of the most widely-read daily newspapers in Sri Lanka.
This offering is powered by TELiBrahma’s ‘pointart’ mobile app, an innovative and enriching visual recognition for the publishing house, which is available across any app store for android, IOS, Blackberry, Nokia Ovi and Windows mobile.
By integrating augmented reality, Ada and Daily Mirror will be able to bring interactivity to static print pages with 3D models, videos, slideshows, social media connect, links to download content and emphasise the importance of connecting print publications with digital engagements through mobile.
“This partnership, in enabling static print content to come live on mobiles and tabs, will help us bridge the gap that exists between newspapers and multimedia content and provide an all-new experience for our readers,” stated Gehan Blok, Manager – Digital Media, Wijeya Newspapers.
“It will add a new dimension and excitement to print content; we see great opportunities for brands and other advertisers to capitalise on this new technology to engage with target audiences. TELiBrahma has assisted us in creating and developing one of the best user experiences for an application of this nature,” he added.
TELiBrahma Principal P.R. Satheesh said: “We are extremely excited to partner with Wijeya Newspapers – the leaders in the print media space in Sri Lanka – and we believe this will add tremendous value to their readers. The app powered by pointart of TELiBrahma is a way to connect physical world with exciting digital engagements.”
