Top marketing professionals to attend 15th CIM Annual Conference

A long awaited event in every marketer’s calendar, the 15th CIM Annual Conference will be held at the BMICH on 11 and 12 May. The CIM Annual Conference is the flagship event of the CIM Sri Lanka region. “We place great emphasis on continual progress development through our programs. The conference is an opportunity for Sri Lanka’s top marketers to meet and exchange ideas, but it is also a forum to discuss the latest marketing trends,” said Annual Conference Chair and Vice Chairman of CIM Sri Lanka Brian Selvanayagam. “This year, we have an exciting program with our keynote speakers Al and Laura Ries who will be sure to challenge conventional thinking and encourage our professionals to start thinking outside the box.” Branding guru and positioning expert Al Ries and his daughter, Laura, with combined experience of over 18 years; the Ries team have acted as consultants for top corporations such as Microsoft, Ford, Disney, Merck and Frito-Lay, to name a few. The authors have been profiled by Business Week, Marketing News, Advertising Age, The Wall Street Journal, Atlanta Journal Constitution and countless other publications. Al Ries first caught the world’s attention when he authored a series of three articles on a revolutionary new concept. This concept was so popular that it was voted one of the 75 most important ideas in 75 years, according to Ad Age. This was followed by a book, ‘Positioning’ in 1981, which sold over a million copies. Al and Laura continue to challenge convention through their work.
