Due to the high number of nominations this year, there will be limited tickets for sale and it would be prudent to reserve tickets soon, says Project Chair Ranga Perera.
The NASCO awards are being presented for the 14th successive year and the business organizations have been classified under fifteen sectors. The sectors for nominations are: Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Financial Services & Banking, Industrial, Media, Consumer Durables, Telecommunication, Fashion & Clothing, Healthcare, Modern Retail, Travel & Leisure, Insurance, Alcohol & Tobacco, and Corporate Selling.
There are three categories under which companies can nominate their sales staff. The categories are territorial managers, sales executives/sales supervisors and front-liners. The period under review for NASCO 2014 was one year ending 31 December 2013.
While each category will have three awards – Gold, Silver and Bronze – there is a single award for females covering all three categories.
SLIM states that NASCO recognises the best of the best in sales profession in the country as it motivates and nurtures the sales fraternity enhancing the learning curve in salesmanship and management as it creates knowledge enhancement in the latest trends available in the sales sphere.
It also facilitates cross industry sales learning, imparts greater exposure to the country’s sales professionals, builds confidence among the wide spectrum of participants, and comprehensively develops the leadership and presentation skills of participants.
