Quebee Den Founder/CEO Rohanthi Wijewickrama was awarded the highly coveted ‘Industry/Manufacturing Sector Award: Best Entrepreneur – Micro’ at the recent ‘Entrepreneur Awards 2016 – Western Province’ held in Colombo.
Organised by the National Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the National Enterprise Development Authority, this awards ceremony was held to recognise the untiring efforts of Sri Lanka’s large to micro level entrepreneurs, in their respective field of business, who have contributed significantly to society and the country’s development through leadership and innovation.
Graced by the presence of Chief Guest, Minister of Industry and Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen, and Guest of Honour, State Minister of Industry and Commerce Champika Premadasa, and several other dignitaries, this awards ceremony featured awards being handed in the categories of Industry and Manufacturing, Agriculture, Fisheries and Livestock, and Hospitality and Tourism.
There were also special awards for companies excelling in Environmental Friendliness, Exports, Productivity, Innovations, Value Additions and Energy Efficiency, while an Enterprise Excellence Award was bestowed on the most outstanding enterprise in the Western Province as well.
