Leo Burnett Sri Lanka celebrates Gold at Campaign South Asia Agency of the Year Awards

Leo Burnett Solutions Inc. (LBSI) marked yet another milestone in the annals of the Sri Lankan communications industry recently by bagging three coveted awards at Campaign Asia’s prestigious South Asia Agency of the Year Awards 2013. LBSI was named as the Rest of South Asia Creative Agency of the Year for the second consecutive year whilst its media solutions arm, Starcom Worldwide Sri Lanka walked away with the gold award for the Rest of South Asia Media Agency of the Year. LBSI Managing Director Ranil de Silva was recognised as the runner up for South Asia Agency Head of the Year, at the Campaign South Asia Agency of the Year Awards which were held at a ceremony hosted in Mumbai, on 9 December 2013. This fitting finale was celebrated by all Burnetters in Sri Lanka. The team went to the airport to welcome back the winning agency team on their arrival from Mumbai to begin the celebrations. Following which an event was held at the agency in the true Burnett spirit with members of the agency’s board of directors, clients and past Burnetters in attendance. Speaking at the celebration, Cargills Ceylon PLC CEO/Deputy Chairman Ranjit Page stated: “This is truly a great year for Leo Burnett and Starcom. As a client I am very proud to be here with the team to celebrate their achievement. Although I have been a partner of Leo Burnett for several years, today I see the team here as much more than colleagues, they are a family.  I have known Ranil for decades and his passion for the agency, its clients and the industry has always been exemplary. This marks yet another milestone in the Sri Lankan advertising industry which has been created by Leo Burnett.
