Grant Group sweeps the boards at Effie Awards

With an impressive tally of three Silver and two Bronze awards between Grant McCann Erickson and Response Marketing, the Grant Group were riding high at Tuesday night’s Effies.












Of the five Silver awarded at the ceremony, the Grant Group received three, two of which were for Etisalat and one for Renuka Coconut Milk Powder.  The two bronze awards were for Sri Lankan Airlines and Etisalat. A citation was also received for the drink and Drive campaign for Nescafe

Grant McCann Erickson won bronze for their SriLankan Airlines Hotseats campaign.  Shirani Saunders, Director Brand Servicing SriLankan Airlines, said, “Hotseats is an online product that offers great fares all the time, helping the airline counter budget airline pricing without compromising the total service offering of the national carrier. SriLankan has been with us for the past 10 years and this is a fitting reward for a great partnership.”   

The Agency won Silver for their unique concept of creating awareness for Renuka Coconut Milk Powder amongst 180 vans that transport working women on a daily basis. “This is a new client who came as a late entrant into a market that was dominated by one brand. Normally small brands have a perception that big agencies won’t be interested in working for them. However, our unique radio campaign proved otherwise when we won this Silver for our client,” said Peter Solomon, Director Media Planning for the Group.
