eMarketingEye (www.emarketingeye.com), the award-winning digital marketing agency and a pioneer in the Asian region specializing in the hospitality industry, celebrated its 13th anniversary recently, bringing an eventful 12 months to a close.
During the 13th year of operations, eMarketingEye achieved several significant milestones that continued the remarkable progress of the company since inception, while also strengthening long-standing relationships with the most high-profile, best-loved local and international hospitality and travel brands. The company has expanded its footprint in the APAC region where most of the clients are from Singapore, Thailand, Maldives, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Sri Lanka. With over 1,000 client engagements over the past 13 years, 90% of the company’s clientele is from the hospitality industry while 70% of the business is generated from overseas markets.
eMarketingEye launched several new products that further diversifies its portfolio, and offers clients new solutions that enhance the way they conduct their businesses. Among them, giftsEye: Gift Certificate System, imagEye: Media Gallery System, and paymentsEye: Smart Payment Platform, are some of the most recent ones, all of which are cutting-edge solutions that can be easily customised and deployed for any client.
Another key milestone of eMarketingEye was the launch of the ‘eme Academy’, conceptualized with the aim of sharing its knowledge with the hospitality industry. In the past few months, the eme Academy has conducted a series of digital marketing workshops targeting the hospitality industry locally, as well as internationally in Bangkok and Singapore. The eme Academy aims to expand the workshops in the future, in collaboration with key partners, to reach out to audiences across other industry verticals in Sri Lanka and overseas.
During the recent past, in order to give back to the travel and hospitality industry, eMarketingEye has gone the extra mile to promote Sri Lanka as a destination via the development and marketing of several destination websites. As a result, eMarketingEye recently launched “Truly Sri Lanka”, the latest addition to this growing list that includes Travel Kalutara and several other websites launched previously.
eMarketingEye celebrated over 40 award wins in 2019 as it continued to receive the highest accolades for its work both internationally and locally. This brought the grand total of awards won during the past 13 years to over 220. On the international stage, the agency achieved 22 wins at the Horizon Interactive Awards, 9 wins at The Communicator Awards, 4 wins at the W3 Awards, 3 wins at the Davey Awards and 1 win at the HSMAI Adrian Awards over the past year. On the local front, eMarketingEye bagged the Gold Award at the National Business Excellence Awards 2019 organized by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) while eMarketingEye CEO Rajitha Dahanayake bagged the Silver awards in both the Provincial and National categories at the “Sri Lankan Entrepreneur of the Year” organized by the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka (FCCISL).
In the second quarter of 2019, eMarketingEye unveiled its new headquarters on the 28th and 29th floors of MAGA ONE, a leading state-of-the-art, purpose-built and award-winning business office complex in the country. The new office premises has given the 120-strong eMarketingEye team an ultra-modern office environment with open spaces and grand views that has enhanced the company’s culture of creativity, teamwork and transparency. Along with this, eMarketingEye unveiled the new corporate identity – a simple yet eye-catching “eme” logo. The new logo portrays how the company has evolved from being one of the pioneers in the digital marketing space in Sri Lanka to becoming the largest digital marketing agency in the island and a thought leader proudly representing the nation on the regional and global stage.
