Dual victory for Hameedia at NASCO Awards

Sri Lanka’s leading menswear specialist Hameedia produced two national winners in two categories at the recent NASCO Awards.

The Gold Award in the ‘Fashion and Clothing’ category was won by Sampath Wijekoon, an executive at Hameedia Stores Kandy. Wijekoon clinched dual victory and went on to win the award for the “Most Outstanding Executive of the Year.”

Meanwhile the Bronze Award in same ‘Fashion and Clothing’ category was won by Retail Channel Executive Alex Enos.

Managing Director Fouzul Hameed said it was encouraging to see Hameedia’s team players being recognised in this manner. “Winning this award is a great honour since we have benchmarked ourselves with the market leaders of different spheres.”

Hameedia’s Retail Operations Manager Samudu de Silva said: “I’m delighted to see how Sampath and Alex have evolved and are now on par with industry standards. We’re confident of seeing more of our team players reach the top in the near future.”

The NASCO Awards is the premier event in Sri Lanka which recognises sales excellence and rewards and motivates sales professionals to achieve greater heights.

Its objectives are to raise the standard of sales professionalism in Sri Lanka, to recognise and reward the Performance (Capability) and the Potential (Capacity) of sales professionals and to enhance the profile of the sales profession in Sri Lanka.
