Premier Sri Lankan advertising agency LOWE LDB and local video production leader Dimension X have jointly pioneered Sri Lanka’s first three dimensional (3D) cinema commercial for Dialog Axiata, Sri Lanka’s leading telecommunication services provider.
Created to promote the newly launched Dialog branded smartphone range, the 3D advertisement which is the first of its kind to be produced in Sri Lanka, commenced its screening on 2 April 2013 at the Savoy 3D Cinema, Colombo.
A large-scale production, featuring the full gamut of sights and sounds, this eye-popping cinema spot adds an extra, third-dimension as a number of colourful, fully-formed images jump out at the audience from the screen.
Conceptualised, shot and post-produced entirely in Sri Lanka, this 3D cinema commercial is viewable in Real3D, which is in line with all of the top Hollywood blockbuster movie productions enjoyed by global audiences today. All of this has been enhanced even further with the best surround sound effects on offer in Sri Lanka today.
Highlighting this achievement, LOWE LDB Executive Creative Director Dilshara Jayamanna said: “Creating innovative, relevant, market dominating advertising is the LOWE LDB credo. With this 3D cinema commercial, we are proud to have once again lived up this promise.”
Adding to this, Dimension X founder and Managing Director Prabodha Elangasinghe said: “We are very proud to pioneer the advancement of content production and delivery for digital 3D cinema in Sri Lanka.”
LOWE LDB President Chalaka Gajabahu said: “This 3D cinema commercial could only be accomplished because of the trust and creative energy we enjoy with a long standing client like Dialog Axiata. We want to thank them for partnering in this journey with us.”
Expressing her thoughts, LOWE LDB Executive Chairman Lilamani Dias Benson said: “We celebrate this leap for our esteemed client Dialog, especially as it falls on the agency’s 20th anniversary, and thank you Dimension X, for always joining us on our explorations.”
