The Institute of Certified Professional Managers (CPM) the premier professional management body in Sri Lanka will talk about the needs for professional managers to explore new avenues for business growth in order to remain competitive in changing business society and also the need to understand the challenges that such actions would entail.
This will be the seventh presentation by succession of six interactive evenings of CPM Evening For Managers (EFM) presentation series which organise more frequently once in two months by free of charge by the CPM Institute to its members with various topics relevant to the modern manager.
The event will take place on 22 March from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Renuka City Hotel, Colombo 03.
The lead researcher Research Consultancy Bureau Managing Director Ravi Bamunusinghe will discuss relatively new concepts in marketing in a broader business context where focus is on value creation in the key presentation under the theme of ‘A Business Focus Brand Strategy: An Insightful Perspective’ followed by the panel discussion comprises four learned panellists who will share their valuable thoughts. The panel discussion will be moderated by the Management Consultant of PIM and Head of the CPM Education and Training Committee Samantha Rathnayake.
The panel consists of Unilever Sri Lanka Former Director Customer Service Gayani de Alwis, Insurer Me.lk Director Niranjan Manickam, The Kingsbury Hotel Director Human Resources Parakrama Girihagama and K.I.K. Lanka Ltd. Director-Marketing and Strategy Nadie Algama, who will give an in-depth overview according to the theme.
CPM provides a professional qualification in management, by conducting educational programs, providing practical experience in private and public sector entities, and establishing a link between the private and public sectors for the advancement of professional management. CPM provides three types of membership Associate, Member, and Fellow. Those with relevant qualifications and experience can apply for membership.
