The honorary President of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Sri Lanka Region, Dr. Rohan Fernando, hosted the CIM UK honorary president, Sir Paul Judge, to a reception during his recent visit to Sri Lanka.
CIM Sri Lanka Region Chairperson Nadi Dharmasiri together with the CIM Sri Lanka Region Board and Management Committee members joined Dr. Fernando to welcome Sir Paul Judge. Speaking at the event, Sir Judge said he is pleased to witness the success of CIM in Sri Lanka and thanked the Board, Management Committee and the regional staff for their unwavering support and contribution rendered over the years. He also stressed on how the CIM qualification is being transformed to fulfil the evolving needs of the global business environment, and emphasised the importance of continued professional learning and development for the growth of the marketing fraternity.
Sir Judge is also the President of the Association of MBAs, Chairman of the Enterprise Education Trust and the Deputy Chairman of the American Management Association in New York. His recent visit to the country was on an invitation extended by the External Affairs Minister Professor G. L. Peiris to study the education sector of Sri Lanka. Heads of the CIM Tuition Centres and special invitees also attended the event.
