Sri Lanka Retail Academy to conduct 1st HR Breakfast Forum on 3 April

The Sri Lanka Retailers’ Association (SLRA) www.slra.lkis to holda breakfast forum titled ‘Is your HR future driven?’ for HR Heads/CEOs underthe Sri Lanka Retailers Association’s Retail Academy on Tuesday 3 Aprilat 7.30a.m at Colombo Hilton Residencies. The objective of this program is to create a forum for networking opportunities with the HR fraternityin dealing with issues, challenges and opportunities in the retail industry.

Expressing the objective of this forum, SLRAVice PresidentMurali Prakashstated that: “In this endeavour, SLRA Retail Academy aims at identifying the gaps between talent availability and retail industry requirements and strives to bridge this gap through capacity building and human talent development.”

The expert speakers MAS Holdings Ltd Group Human Resource Director Shakthi Ranatunga andkapruka.com Founder and Chairman Dulith Herath will be sharing their insights on ‘The future of HR- challenges and opportunities’ and ‘Leadership in the changing techno-economy and competitive environment’respectivelyin a bid to groom retail professionals and formulate the ‘HR Forum’ under SLRA Retail Academy. 

The SLRA’s main objectives are to achieve retail excellence by being the ‘voice of the retailindustry’ in the country. By harnessing the resources of the organised retail industry, SLRA will bring together and facilitate innovation, growth with a global outreach in the years to come.

The other forthcoming events organised this year by the SLRA Retail Academy are ‘Leadership excellence program for retail and allied managers’ which will be partnered with Sensei Lanka and the SLRA annual flagship event, which is the ‘Sri Lanka Retail Forum.’
