The SLIM Brand week, a five day brand-marketing symposium, which was part of t Knowledge week, was graced by nine speakers. The forum was designed to challenge brands to conceptualise and apply the experiences and solutions of tomorrow, while exploring innovation and emerging technologies of the future.
Sharing his thoughts on the success of the event, SLIM President Suranjith Swaris stated, “SLIM is proud and delighted to promote and organise thought-provoking and knowledge-creating workshops that benefit the marketing fraternity in the country by launching the campaign named M.A.D. by highlighting the significance of ‘Marketing. Academics. Data.’, which will be the future of the business world in the face of technologically disrupted landscape”.
“It is vital to gather knowledge and information about innovative technology and new strategies in order to compete in the local industry and global arenas. With creativity being an evident gap in the country, James Taylor’s insight on Artificial Intelligence was an invaluable aid to the entire marketing fraternity in Sri Lanka. I believe the Marketers Summit and Brand Week further provided a learning platform and a hub of knowledge sharing and innovation for the marketers in the country,” he further stated.
SLIM CEO/ED Sanath Senanayaka added: “SLIM proudly saw the end of yet another successful and eventful week filled with knowledge, novel concepts, and innovative strategies. We hope that Knowledge Week, with its cutting edge workshops, reinforced and provided participants with the knowledge to penetrate the highly competitive marketing industry. While this is the end of a motivational and inspirational week, we hope that all participants will stay tuned with SLIM as we have many events planned for next year.”
