Miami Ad School was last week named the Future Lions School of the Year at the iconic Cannes International Festival of Creativity.
Miami Ad School – currently the world’s most awarded creative school – has been named School of the Year for racking up the most shortlisted submissions.
M.AD’s 16th global campus was launched in Sri Lanka and the Maldives by the Academics Group in October 2020. The Colombo campus is located at Dickman’s Road, Colombo 4.
Miami Ad School Co-Founder and Global CEO Pippa Seichrist said: “Thank you Future Lions. On behalf of our students, instructors, faculty all over the world from the United States, Sri Lanka, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Dominican Republic, India, Spain, Canada, Germany – thank you so much for this award. International Festival of Creativity has been championing creative excellence since 1954 with the goal of providing a global destination and definitive benchmark for creativity that drives progress. Put simply, it’s the Oscars of the creative world.
The Future Lions competition was founded by AKQA in partnership with Cannes Lions to un-earth the next generation of creative talent. Now in its 16th year, the program shines a spotlight on the world’s top emerging creatives, diversifying and improving access to the industry for young people.
It’s the most contested award at Cannes Lions and the only young competition to offer the chance to develop a real product. 2022’s competition, together with partners Gymshark and TikTok encourages young people aged 18 to 25 to go further together. Over 444 schools from over 70 countries participated from around the world.
