Altered Experience Founding CEO Kabeer Rafaideen and Eswaran Brothers Chairman Ganesh Deivanayagam with the awards
Altered Experience (ALT X), Sri Lanka’s newest entrant into the cutting edge world of digital communication and strategy, won a coveted Grand Prix award at the ACEF Content Marketing and Creators Awards held on 30 August.
The prestigious ACEF Content Marketing and Creators Awards is organised by the Global Customer Engagement Forum, the leading platform for learning and connecting global brands.
Working with Eswaran Brothers on its brand T-Go, the ALT X Team was able to compete successfully with entrants from countries such as India, Bangladesh, Singapore, UAE, and Iran, to win two awards – the Silver in the ‘Best Social Media Content’ and Bronze in the Grand Prix category for overall best in show of the entire awards.
Expressing his views, Alt X Founding CEO Kabeer Rafaideen stated, “We are thrilled to have won these prestigious international digital awards and to make our mark on the global stage for Sri Lanka and for the entire ALT X team. We are currently in our eighth month since our founding, and we are really proud to have competed against some challenging international brands to win these two great awards. The winning entry itself is a clear example of how we used real time topicality and a data driven communication strategy to create a social media experience as opposed to a standard post. It was a privilege to partner with an innovation focused and forward-thinking company like Eswaran Brothers. They were very receptive to our unique idea and trusted our expertise to deliver the desired result and I am happy we were able to exceed their expectations.”
Using a combination of data, technology and design thinking to transform businesses, ALT X offers connected solutions built on the key verticals of data driven creativity to change behavior, sustainable digital transformation for businesses, design thinking applied for business innovation and integrating technology to solve human problems.
Commenting on this fantastic achievement, Eswaran Brother Chairman Ganesh Deivanayagam said: “We are truly delighted at winning these awards at an international level for T-Go with our partners at ALT X. We have always believed in the power of the digital medium to create relevance for brands even when we fight against established global giants and these awards today validate that. We hope to create similar groundbreaking and market defining campaigns with ALT X and it pays to work with such passionate professionals in the crowded digital media space.”
Eswaran Brothers has been one of the most recognized names synonymous with Ceylon Tea over many decades. Globally recognised as being the first tea company worldwide to be certified CabonNeutral, it is the only Sri Lankan tea company to patent an innovation internationally (with its on-the-go bag and spoon tea bag for T-GO).
In addition to Eswaran Brothers, ALT X’s client portfolio includes international brands such as Fonterra Brands Lanka, The Rainco Group, global consumer brands Westinghouse, Kodak and Masterpan USA. Moreover, ALT X drives design thinking and the innovation mindset in Sri Lanka with affiliations with the University of Moratuwa under its university business linkage cell, University of Sri Jayewardenepura and the Asia Pacific Institute of Digital Marketing.
