The Management Club now frequently known as the TMC invites interesting speakers to make presentations at their monthly Members Meet.

In the recent past, TMC was proud and privileged in having Dananjaya Hettiarachchi , the most outstanding speaker in the world in the year 2014, following speakers such as Tayab Hussain, Minister Eran Wickramaratne, Dr. Saman Kelegama, Fazal Issadeen and many others.Untitled-1

After the presentation which is held generally for about 45 minutes, members are invited to gather at the Lobby Bar area of the Galadari Hotel where they have the opportunity of meeting, greeting, interacting with their fellow members and guests over a vastly discounted food and beverages exclusively provided to the TMC members and their guests. (50% on beverages and 20% on food)

Sri Lanka is no doubt proud in having one of its nationals, namely Dananjaya Hettiarachchi adjudged the most outstanding speaker in the world and to have another national – Arfath Saleem who went on to become one amongst the top 10 competitive speakers in the world for year 2015/16.

The Management Club is once again honoured and privileged to have this youngest South Asian Speaker – Arfath Saleem to speak on ‘Virtues of Winning’ on 21 October – third Wednesday of the month at their Members Meet.

He has over 100 speaking engagements in his portfolio and we are certain in the next few months he will be involved in speaking at many forums.

TMC officials announce to its members and public that they should not miss this opportunity to listen to this world renowned speaker – a Sri Lankan – Arfath Saleem on 21 October. His presentation will cover the following points:

  •   The strategy that got him to the finals of the World Championship of public speaking on his first attempt
  •   Why your character can determine what you achieve
  • The power of associating people who are better than you

He has been a member of Ralph Toast Masters Club and holds many awards in public speaking to his name. In 2011, he became the Runner up of the All Island Best Speaker contest. Once he joined Toastmasters in 2014, he became the second Runner up of the district 82 humorous speech contest, competing against speakers from India and Sri Lanka.

This year, he became the District 82 Champion of the International Speech contest and went on to win the semi finals of the World Championship of public speaking that was held in August in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is the second Sri Lankan to ever achieve this feat, and the youngest and only South Asian to do it in his first attempt.

Don’t miss this opportunity to listen to a world renowned speaker.

The Management Club is confident that this will be a unique presentation. The presentation will be held on 21 October at the Galadari Hotel, from 6:30 p.m. – 7:15 p.m. Members, guests and the public may confirm their participation to the TMC Office (Pradeep/Milroy) on 5860000.
