World-class Global Leadership Summit in Sri Lanka on 7 Nov.

Jim Collins – business guru and best-selling author, Ed Catmul, Co-founder of Pixar Animation and President, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Horst Schulze, Founder President, Ritz Carlton Hotel & Brene Brown, Research Professor, University of Houston, are among an elite panel of speakers featured via Videocast at the Galadari Hotel in Colombo on 7 November at the Global Leadership Summit

Started 20 years ago in the US to train church leaders, the GLS is today a global movement impacting 260,000 leaders across 105 countries and 350 cities, spanning the church, business, government, education and non-profit sectors.

The brain-child of Bill Hybels, Founder and Senior Pastor, Willow Creek Community Church, with a membership of 25,000 in Illinois, USA and author of over 20 books including Simplify, Courageous Leadership and Leadership Axioms, the Global Leadership Summit brings together a team of international leaders from the business world and Christian Ministry to share lessons in leadership.

The program is run live in Chicago, USA and via videocast across other centres in USA and overseas, with live local facilitation to relate the presentations to the local context.

Past speakers at GLS include Management gurus such as Michael Porter from Harvard and Jim Collins who wrote ‘Good to Great’; legendary CEOs such as Jack Welch of GE and Carly Fiorina of HP., former US Secretaries of State – Colin Powell and Condoleeza Rice; former US Presidents – Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton and Pastors such as Rick Warren, John Ortberg and Bishop T. D. Jakes.

The program has been run for the past five years in Sri Lanka and 2015 will be its sixth year of operation. The event this year will be held at The Galadari on Saturday, 7 November with the expected participation of 300 business leaders from the local corporate sector.

Local facilitators for the event include Ramesh Schafter, Executive Director, Janashakthi Insurance and Ben Manickam, Leadership Consultant and Principal, Wesley College. The event will be hosted by Bertram Paul, General Manager – Sales, Chevron Lubricants.

The event includes musical performances by the De Lanerolle Brothers, Devashrie de Silva and Dillain Joseph.

Tickets are priced at Rs. 7,500 per head which includes a free DVD containing all the presentations shared at the summit.
