Women in Management is a private limited company registered under Company’s Act in Sri Lanka, dedicated to uniting Sri Lankan career women and women entrepreneurs. By facilitating a process which helps our women nurture their innate potential while developing their skill sets, WIM provides a networking platform for them to realise their dreams.
The number of women in senior management worldwide shows little improvement in recent years, despite growing positive sentiment in the corporate world according to a 2014 Grant Thornton International Business Report. In Sri Lanka too, data on representation of women at management levels confirm that they have yet to penetrate the glass ceiling, despite a high literacy rate.
Dedicated to the success of women, the Women in Management group, Sri Lanka, has been working relentlessly, to further the professional development of managerial and entrepreneurial women. Regular educational and training opportunities, platforms for knowledge sharing, to exchange experiences and to help women network remain WIM priorities.
WIM’s new offering for Sri Lankan career and women entrepreneurs is to help them nurture their skills and realise their dreams. Inviting corporates and individuals alike, who are serious about developing their talent, WIM proposes to redefine corporate leadership development for women, through an exclusive ‘coaching program.’
Designed as a tailored solution for busy, committed women who are business owners, managers, or partners in professional services; who want to learn to progress in a way that reflects their values, manage their work – life balance effectively and leverage their strengths; the WIM Coaching Program for Women uses a combination of strategies and tactical skills to encourage women move ahead.
Industry experts from diverse backgrounds will coach participant women leaders, step-by-step strategies for moving into leadership and management roles, inspiring them to excel and help them align their career goals with the needs of their organisation.
