TMC Kalutara member achievements

Dhammika Attygalle, Life Member of the Management Club – Kalutara who is also the President of the Automobile Association of Ceylon (AAC), has been appointed Vice President of Region II of the Federation Internationale de- l’Automobile (FIA), the largest motoring organisation in the world, based in France. He has also been appointed an Executive Committee Member of the World Council for Mobility and Tourism for a period of three years. TMC – Kalutara is proud of Dhammika Attygalle and wish to congratulate him on this great achievement, since this is the first time that the Automobile Association of Ceylon has been conferred with an international appointment. Dhammika Attygalle is a product of Royal College, Colombo and holds a BSc in Business Administration from the Mansfield University, in Pennsylvania, USA. He is the Group Director of the Upali Group of Companies, a position he has held since 1989 and also serves on the Boards of several other companies. Under his Presidency, the AAC has conducted several awareness programs on Road Safety for motorists, motorcyclists and road users, including students. He has also contributed immensely towards to development of the Automobile Association of Ceylon. One of the noteworthy programs initiated by Dhammika Attygalle and conducted by the AAC was the seminar on the theme ‘Post Accident – First Aid Saves Lives’ to educate 1,000 three wheeler and taxi drivers on the safe handling of accident victims being transported to hospital.
