TMC was inaugurated in February 2002 at the Galle Face Hotel by the then British High Commissioner Linda Duffield.
TMC the brainchild of the Founder and now President Emeritus Fayaz Saleem, who as the outgoing President of the Chartered Management Institute UK Sri Lanka Branch proposed to the then Executive Committee the need to establish a management club that may constitute managers of all functional/professional disciplines and to provide them a platform to ‘meet, greet and interact with fellow professional managers so as to enhance and sharpen their interpersonal and networking skills’.

TMC Clubs in different locations organise a variety of programs relating to management development, evening presentations coupled with a ‘Meet and Greet’ opportunity for fellow members almost every month at the Galadari Hotel, motor rallies, annual get-togethers and numerous other events at partner hotels. Members have the unique benefit of a Bottle Bar at Galadari Hotel together with a fully equipped meeting room facility and lounge. A 20% discount may be availed at all partner hotels for food, beverage laundry etc.
