The Management Club to move to Galadari Hotel Colombo

The Management Club signed an MOU with the Management of Galadari Hotel on Tuesday 12 May signalling a move from the existing premises Excel World to The Galadari Hotel by 1 June 2014. Deepal Abeysekera, the President of the Board of Management of the Management Club, together with President Emeritus Fayaz Saleem of The Management Club (who negotiated the move) signed the MoU on behalf of TMC, and General Manager Sampath Siriwardena and Credit Manager Riza Eliyas signed on behalf of the Galadari Hotel, in the presence of Past President of TMC Athula Jayasekera, Vice President Murali Prakash, Finance Director Upali Perera and Food and Beverage Manager Thushantha Kariyawasam of the Galadari Hotel Colombo. Speaking briefly at the signing ceremony, Siriwardena said that he was very happy indeed to host the prestigious Management Club at the Galadari and he looked forward to a mutually-beneficial relationship. Deepal Abeysekera said that he was very happy indeed to have the TMC move to Galadari providing the membership numerous facilities. Saleem thanked Kariyawasam for the support he extended towards the negotiations which culminated in the swift agreement on various aspects and indeed to have the MoU signed on Tuesday. Some of the salient features of the MOU are: a) Galadari to provide  space for a lounge and meeting room, discounts on food and beverage at the TMC lounge and at many of the outlets, laundry, and for TMC organised events, and special consideration for members private events. An important and indeed a useful benefit to the membership is the discount on gym/pool membership for member/family among some of the benefits provided to the TMC members. The Lounge would have a TV, Wi-Fi, bottle bar and would be open throughout the year other than Poya and religious holidays. The membership will soon receive a circular on the many benefits that would be available at the hotel and the informal re-launch of TMC likely to be on the 2 June. The TMC premises at Excel World would be closed from the 22 May to 1 June to facilitate the move.
