‘Symptoms of short-termism: the impact on corporate health’, an interesting and increasingly critical area affecting corporate survival, will be addressed by Nestle Lanka PLC Managing Director Alois Hofbauer.

A graduate of the prestigious Swiss Business School IMD, Hofbauer joined Nestlé Austria in 1990 and today holds over 20 years of strong international experience in the global food and beverage industry with Nestlé. His powerful leadership skills and in-depth operational expertise in almost every product category Nestlé is present in across the world, together with his widespread experience in senior management positions in Sales, Marketing and General Management, has shaped his notable career profile today. He heads Nestlé Lanka since 2010 after a successful six-year tenure as General Manager in Nestlé Taiwan.
The case of Infosys BPO India which has sustained success by optimising value from human dimensions critical to sustaining business success, employee capability, supplier/customer relationship effectiveness, development and effective use of processes and systems to optimise measuring and management of human capital will be presented by Infosys BPO, India CEO/ Managing Director D. Swaminathan. Swaminathan has over 30 years of experience in general management, finance and accounting, sales and marketing, international trading, and human resources management. He has performed multiple roles in sales, marketing and operations, leading global teams in the manufacturing and services industry and has also been associated with infrastructure projects in India and abroad. He joined Infosys BPO in 2004 and took over as the CEO and MD in January 2010. He also heads the Executive Council of Infosys BPO. Prior to this, he was Senior Vice President and Head of Global Delivery and Horizontal Practices, providing leadership in building some of the key industry verticals, international centres, horizontal practices, and managing corporate functions such as business transition, quality and risk.
Under his leadership, Infosys BPO has won several key awards for partnerships with clients, such as the Shared Services Excellence Awards for Best New Outsourced Services Delivery and the Breakthrough Award at the Global Supplier Awards. Infosys BPO has also won awards for people practices, such as The Stars of the Industry Award for BPO Organisation of the Year and RASBIC Awards for Recruiting and Staffing Programs. Swaminathan is a chartered accountant.
