A workshop by Lalith Ananda Guneratne – on 7 August 2014, at the Galadari Hotel, organised by The Management Club in Association with the Daily Financial Times.
Lalith Ananda Gunaratne comes from the practical world of business and entrepreneurship. He is a facilitator and a coach with 30 years of experience with leadership and organisational development. He marries hard core business with mindfulness, self mastery and awareness.
This one-day interactive learning session is designed to help participants find an emotional balance to assess problems objectively and systemically, using a critical thinking model and make decisions for peak performance.
He will speak on today’s fast paced world with information overload requires us to think critically and make quick decisions. This can create stress and take away our power to act rationally. How do we find our power by balancing our minds and bodies to align with meeting organisational goals and requirements?
Critical thinking is to ‘think about thinking’ by understanding the logical connections between ideas to help solve problems systematically. Critical thinking requires us also to be mindful of our emotions, biases and prejudices. Being mindful of emotions enables getting them out of the way, to deal with the problem rationally and logically.
