Enable the Disabled (ETD) is the CSR arm of The Management Club. Enable the Disabled is registered with the Ministry of Social Services and is committed to promoting a disable friendly environment in Sri Lanka.
On Saturday 12 March, Enable the Disabled, along with children with disabilities met with the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to launch their latest project ‘Play for All’ on 12 March at 9 a.m. at the President’s official residence.
Play for All is an inclusive park that integrates play spaces where all children regardless of physical or mental abilities can play together as one. It is envisaged that public parks around Sri Lanka will have play areas where children make friends and enjoy themselves. Differing abilities does not mean any child should be deprived of his/her right to play. The first Play for All Park will be in the Western Province.
Under the slogan ‘Together You and I are one’, Enable the Disabled is working with state authorities, volunteer groups, advocates for the rights of persons with disabilities, organisations working with different types of disorders and the general public to build on the existing play spaces to make our dream a reality.
