Venerable Maduluwawe Sobitha Thero
The members of the Management Club consisting of a wide selection of managers from various disciplines in Colombo, Mt. Lavinia, Kalutara and Negombo and the members of their CSR initiative – ‘Enable the Disabled’ were all unanimous in praise for the yeoman service rendered by the Venerable Maduluwawe Sobitha Thero during his lifetime. They all expressed sadness at the untimely demise of this national hero.
The members showered great praise in his undaunted determination to bring about a just society, free of corruption and nepotism. He waged a lone war for many years, pushing, persuading and appealing to the Government and its leaders to restore and maintain all the ideals of freedom and democracy for a united Sri Lanka. He was an extraordinary citizen who fought for the people’s supremacy, the rule of law and unity in the country.
May he attain the supreme bliss of Nibbana.
