Let us begin by wishing the members of TMC Colombo, Mt. Lavinia, Negombo, Kalutara and Enable the Disabled a very happy, healthy, peaceful and a prosperous New Year 2016. A very special note of thanks to our sponsors – First Capital, UB Finance, Kleen Park, Airtel, Sponge, Nine Hearts, Singer Electronic Equipments, Sharp Graphics, Softlogic – IT and Office Automation, Daily Financial Times, MTV and our host hotels – Galadari, Berjaya Mount Royal, Camelot Beach Hotel, Hibiscus Beach Hotel and Ramadia Ranmal Hotel, for their support and co-operation extended to us in 2015 and we hope that they will continue to support us in 2016 and beyond.
Our sincere and grateful thanks to Nisthar Cassim, Editor of Daily Financial Times and his team for the tremendous support we have had during the year 2015 and in the previous years. 2014 was dedicated to a series of Management Development Programs, whilst in 2015, the focus was in line with the vision of TMC to bring together members and guests for a ‘Monthly Members Meet’ to listen to reputed speakers that was followed up by Meet and Greet Sessions amongst members and guests.
We hope TMC Clubs will plan and execute numerous programs in management development, evening presentations, motor rallies and membership get-togethers. The clubs continuously identify suitable members to enhance and develop membership. Finally we wish to thank the Chairmen and Members of the Executive Committee of the Clubs, ETD and the Members of the Board of Management for their support and commitment to sustain and grow TMC.
President Emeritus Fayaz Saleem and The President of Board of Management Nasser Majeed
At the outset let me wish all members of the Management Club of Colombo a very happy and prosperous 2016. The year 2015 saw the Club consolidating our position after we moved into Hotel Galadari.
We all saw and experienced the Club reaching its glory days again after a lull period in 2013-2014. The Club was bustling with activities. The Club Secretariat was well patronised. Membership grew by 7%. The Club grew from strength to strength due to the support and tireless effort of the Executive Committee, the senior members of the Club and all you members of the Management Club. I am very glad and proud to say that the Club achieved all its planned programs during the year.
The year 2016 is a year where we want to move from being a good club to a great club. The Club Calendar will be communicated to the membership shortly. Whilst wishing all its members a very happy and prosperous new year, I would also like to invite more members from the management fraternity around the country to come and join us in our journey.
Management Club of Colombo 2014-2015
Chairman,
Ninesh Amirthiah
