The Management Club (TMC) is pleased to announce that Dr. Phil Young, a corporate education consultant who designs and implements seminars and training programs in finance, marketing and strategy, will make a special presentation to TMC members, their guests and those wishing to be a part of this rare opportunity on Wednesday, 12 June 2013.
The presentation will take place at Premier Park Conference Halls 1 and 11 at the Excel World Entertainment Park at 5.30 p.m. and conclude with a Q&A session and refreshments by 8 p.m.
‘What is corporate education – how do companies use it to help implement their strategies?’ is a rare topic that Dr. Young hopes to discuss in depth, giving participants a chance to learn of this educative strategy and how it could be put to use in their own companies or to enhance their businesses.
Phil Young has over 30 years of experience in this area of consulting as a course designer, instructor and facilitator. He is also a member of the Duke Corporate Education Global Learning Resource Network. The Financial Times and Bloomberg Business Week continue to rate Duke CE as the world’s number 1 provider of customised corporate education services.
Among his present and past clients are IBM, AT&T, Verizon, ITT, ABB, Dow Chemical, Ericsson, Siemens, Bayer Diagnostics, Sonoco, ST Microelectronics, BT (British Telecom), Ingersoll-Rand, Ericsson, MasterCard International, American Express, Booz&Co, the Emirates Bank Group, NDB Bank and Citibank. He has conducted corporate education programs for these companies and a number of other companies in over 25 countries throughout the world.
TMC strives to promote good management practices by continuously providing opportunities for the members of its four clubs at Colombo, Mt. Lavinia, Negombo and Kalutara to participate, listen and learn from renowned speakers and presenters locally and internationally.
Working under three themes, knowledge development, management development and social development, the club’s committees ensure that members receive continuous updates on the latest trends in management.
Through its four bases, TMC has widened its network of professional members and hopes to diversity to other parts of the country as well thus affording a wider circle of professionals the benefit of its activities. The club committees also provide opportunities for social interaction where members and their families are encouraged to participate so that they may network more effectively. Effective networking is one of the keys to developing yourself and your businesses, thus TMC places heavy emphasis on learning, education and networking.
