Last Wednesday of the month Last Wednesday of the month ‘Members Meet’ was held on 25 March at 7:30 p.m. A presentation was made by Deputy Minister for Investment Promotions and Highways Eran Wickramaratne on ‘Good Governance and Good Corporate Practices’. Members and their guests had the opportunity of listing to his very interesting speech which provided some insights to the aspects of good governance and good corporate practices. After 35 minutes of his presentation, a brief and an interesting and interacting session concluded at 8:30 pm, after which the members and guests proceeded to the Galadari Lobby for fellowship and to enjoy the 50% discount on beverages and a 20% discount on food. The next last Wednesday of the Month of April will be on 29 April. Details of the Speaker will be communicated to the Membership in time. Karaoke Night TMC Colombo concluded the Karaoke Night at Otters Club on 27 March commencing at 7 p.m., a fun night for the members and their guests including dinner. Over 50 members purchased their tickets at Rs. 1,500 per head for this event. Third Thursday of the month Galadari Hotel together with the Management Club arranged to have ‘Happy Hour’ every third Thursday of each month from 7 p.m.–10 p.m. with live music provided by the band Heat, with 50% discount on beverages and 20% on food for TMC Members . The last third Thursday was on 19 March with a participation of over 15 members and their guests who enjoyed the camaraderie. We believe that the members would use this facility in the months to come and wish to remind members and their guests that the next third Thursday of the month is on 23 April.   Management programconcluded We are pleased to inform the Membership that a well-patronised ‘Effective body language for professional development and leadership presence and personal branding’ seminar was held at the Anthurium Room of Galadari Hotel on 19 March and the participants represented a number of reputed organisations such as Ceylon Tobacco, Hayleys, John Keells, etc. The program was well accepted and we thank Bob Feldman for his contribution and the small event management company for the successful completion of this event.
