IMSL Treasurer Errol Smith was conferred Fellow of the Institute of Management of Sri Lanka at its Annual General Meeting held on 28 June at the Grand Oriental Hotel in Colombo, by its President Anver Dole.
A few days prior to this, on 8 June, Smith was also conferred Fellow of the Institute of Certified Professional Managers, by its President Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala.
Errol Smith serves on the Board of Directors of Aspic Corporation Ltd., Aspic Homes Ltd., Deraniyagala Tea Estates Ltd., Intervest Engineering & Construction Ltd. and Sapphire International Ltd.
He is an active member of Lions Clubs International – District 306 A 1, who has had the unique opportunity of serving as Cabinet Treasurer and Cabinet Secretary which is the highest administrative position in the Lions District. He is presently the Chief Co-ordinator (Administration) in the current District Cabinet of District 306 A 1. He holds membership in several voluntary and social organisations and has been actively involved in the St. John Ambulance holding the positions of Secretary, Treasurer, Director (Finance) etc., and is presently the District President of the St. John Ambulance – Kalutara District.
The Management Club is also privileged to have a personality of the calibre of Smith who is the Founder Secretary of The Management Club – Kalutara and also serves as Vice President on the Board of Management of TMC.
