Ernst and Young Maldives awarded Platinum Approved Employer status by ACCA Sri Lanka

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) the world’s largest and fastest-growing international accounting body has been increasing employer demand for students and members by working closely with employers to promote the value of their qualifications. This is achieved through ACCA’s Employer Accreditation scheme that is designed to recognise organisations which provide appropriate training for their ACCA staff and helps ensure that employers are aware of how best to support their staff in their  studies. Within ACCA’s Employer Accreditation scheme, the Platinum Approved status is the highest level to be awarded .This award is presented to employers who meet ACCA’s statements of best practice in all six areas that consist of study support work experience requirements, supervision, appraisal and workplace development, training records and continuing development. The scheme is a 360 degree solution for recruitment, retention and development of accounting and Finance professionals, who not only come with an in-depth knowledge and skill background, but also deliver to the highest standards of professionalism and ethics. Ernst and Young Maldives were recently awarded the Platinum Approved Employer Trainee Development status by ACCA Sri Lanka. In order to achieve the Platinum status recognition , Ernst and Young Maldives had to show their personally focused training programs  in place for all employees, the  support extended  for study and examination programs, their on-going personal development programs that are in place and relevant practical experience provided to their employees. Commenting on this achievement, Ernst and Young Maldives Partner Krishna Rengaraj stated that the need for well qualified and trained accountants to support the businesses in the Maldives is paramount, particularly after the introduction of taxes and IFRS based reporting requirements obligated by various stakeholders. “We are delighted to be awarded ACCA Platinum status.
