Enable the Disabled organises walk ‘Obai Mamai Samai – You And I Are One’

Enable the Disabled is organising a walk called ‘Obai Mamai Samai –You And I Are One’ on 20 February at the Vihara Mahadevi Park. The purpose is to create awareness and educate the general public on the need for society to accept and integrate persons with disabilities into mainstream society.

We need to create an inclusive society where these special people will feel accepted. The walk will lead to the awareness that we need to set up special facilities for children in the public parks where these children could be able to enjoy the facilities all made up with special equipment that is designed to be disabled friendly. ETD wants to create the awareness that is important that we the public, the Government and corporates all join hands to make this a reality. This project spearheaded by ETD will be called ‘Play for all’.

We invite all organisations to join us in this walk along with their staff and walk with persons with disabilities.

Do not leave them alone, walk along with them and bring about a much needed change in the mindsets of our citizens, be a part of this walk.
