Dr. Rohan Perera to talk on Sovereignty and Changing World Order at BCIS

The third informal discussion of the IR Evenings’ will take place today from 5.30 p.m. onwards at the Classroom 7-106 at the BCIS. The session will be on ‘The issue of Sovereignty in a changing World Order’ and will be conducted by Dr. Rohan Perera.

Dr. Rohan Perera, P.C. was the Legal Advisor of the Foreign Ministry and a member of International Law Commission. Dr. Perera has served for over thirty years in the Foreign Ministry; He was the chairman of the UN ad-hoc Committee on Measures to Eliminate International Terrorism which is recently concluded the International Convention on the Suppression of Acts of Nuclear Terrorism. Dr. Perera also served as a member of the group of legal advisors and constitutional experts appointed by the President to advice the All Party Representatives Committee on a constitutional framework. He was a member of LLRC commission as well.
