After a resounding success of the program on Zoom titled ‘The Impact of the Pandemic on Corporate Culture’ held in October, organised by TMC in association with CIMA, CMI and DFT, discussions have begun to stage a second in the series program to be held as a physical ‘in-person’ event in late January 2022.
The focus this time would be on how to realign the corporate culture in the new norm. Many organisations whose culture may have been affected in so many ways due to ‘Work from Home’, redundancies, restructuring, resignations, etc. New recruits have taken the place of the old, early or premature retirement, and all this and more must surely have made a change in the culture of organisations. Therefore, there must be an urgent need to analyse and evaluate new strategies they may need to implement to return to their original and acceptable culture that existed prior to the pandemic.
Much has changed in the past 18 months. New faces and new ways of doing things may well change and complicate the progress of bringing back the past acceptable culture! New thoughts and ideas on management and leadership may have emerged! New books have been published providing new insights to the numerous changes that have taken place in the corporate world and how to deal with the status quo!
Larger organisations, and long-established organisations, that have had a clear vision, may have been able to successfully maintain their corporate culture in spite of the pandemic and may only need to re-visit the policies, programs and processes to ensure the continued longevity of their reputed culture.
