As our nation is going through trying times, the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM), the national body for marketing, has come forth to shoulder the national responsibility of mentoring the local industries to take proactive measures in response to coronavirus, in order to become more resilient against future shocks and disruptions.

SLIM has therefore implemented a special initiative named ‘Restart Sri Lanka’ to uplift the local corporates to the next level through streamlining their focus, attitudes, and orientate them on how to overcome such situations. The Restart Sri Lanka initiative was introduced under the auspices of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa. Accordingly, SLIM has conducted several workshops to the local SME (Small and Medium Scale Enterprise) sector to take proactive measures in response to the global pandemic.

SLIM in collaboration with The Management Club is conducting a webinar themed ‘Way Forward Sri Lanka 2021’ to share the perspectives of industry experts on Sri Lanka’s economy in the upcoming year. The Management Club is a prestigious professional organisation that operates with the vision of bringing together professional managers so that they can interact with one another, develop their potential management, leadership and business management skills to make a substantial contribution to the community.

Moreover, the webinar will be focused on strategic approaches to revitalise the local economy through streamlining each and every aspect of business operations, such as Management, IT, Human Resource and Financials. The webinar will feature SLIM President Roshan Fernando, SLIM Vice President Thilanka Abeywardena, The Management Club President Emeritus Fayaz Saleem and The Management Club Board of Management Vice President Jude Joseph and will be moderated by Marketing Consultant, Trainer, Lecturer G.S. During these crises situations organisations should be working together to uplift the economy and help each other. Therefore, this webinar will be an eye opener for many corporates and entrepreneurs where panellists will provide key stats and information.”
