The Sri Lanka Institute of Directors (SLID) and the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) will hold a webinar on ‘Future Fluent Board Leadership’ on Tuesday 21 July 2020 from 3 p.m.

The ‘BOLD 3.0: Future Fluent Board Leadership in Asia’ research study is a culmination of over a year of research led by the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL), in partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (ICDM), Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD), Philippines, Singapore Institute of Directors (SID), The Sri Lanka Institute of Directors (SLID), Vietnam Institute of Directors (VIOD), supported by plyometrics and the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA).

BOLD 3.0 presents a comprehensive point of view on the evolution of board-level leadership in the region, and what leadership in Asian boardrooms may look like in the future.

The current disruptive situation across Asia (and the world) coupled with higher expectations from stakeholders are pushing boards to be more future fluent. While boards need to guide their organisations out of the current slowdown, they are also expected to deal with new-age challenges around technology, people, business, and sustainability.

This webinar will explore findings from the BOLD 3.0 study, particularly in the context of the Sri Lanka market. Participants will learn about the state of board leadership in Sri Lanka, roles board leaders must play to be future fluent, choices leaders will need to make to deal with the current pandemic, and culture boards must promote to make ‘collective leadership’ happen.

The panel for this discussion will be represented by Cargills Bank Managing Director/CEO Rajendra Theagarajah, Global Consulting Company CEO Aroshi Nanayakkara, Dialog Axiata Group Chief Operating Officer Dr. Rainer Deutschmann and Economist Anushka Wijesinghe and the session will be moderated by Asia Pacific Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) Senior Research Director/Head of Research Sunil Puri.
