Honorary Fellow Membership of Institute of Chartered Professional Managers awarded to Sega Nagendra

Sega Nagendra, CPM Founder and President Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala and Chief Guest retired Chief Justice K. Sripavan


 

At the annual convocation of 2021 of the Chartered Professional Managers of Sri Lanka, Sega Nagendra a Chartered Manager Companion of the Chartered Management Institute UK was granted the prestigious award of Honorary Fellow Membership (Hon. F.C.P.M.). 

The event was held at the BMICH Colombo. The Chief Guest was the retired Chief Justice K. Sripavan. CPM Sri Lanka Founder and President Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala was also present.

Nagendra was nominated for this award as he had made a significant contribution and reached a position of eminence in the practice of management. 

Nagendra was also recently awarded at the AGM of Skal International Colombo (International Association of Travel and Tourism Professional) the Excellence Award for his outstanding services to Skal International Colombo for a period of over 30 years. Nagendra was the Past President of Skal International Colombo and Secretary of the Skal Asia Area Region. He was also Past President of Pacific Asia Travel Association of Sri Lanka (PATA).

He is a retired Senior Director of Carsons Cumberbatch PLC and present Chairman and Director of Public listed and Private companies. 

He is a Chartered Manager and Companion of the Chartered Management Institute of UK and was awarded the CMI Lifetime Achievement Award for 2017 by the Chartered Management Institute, UK Sri Lanka Branch. He is also a Master of Business Administration, UK and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Professional Managers of Sri Lanka.

Nagendra was also the Past President of the Chartered Management Institute, UK Sri Lanka Branch and Past Chairman of the Colombo Club.

He has been an active member and held the highest positions of the Business Councils of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and other institutions. He is also Trustee of many religious and non-religious organisations.
