TMC past President, Chartered Manager, Companion, and President Emeritus Fayaz Saleem congratulated President Kaushal Rajapaksa and his Executive Committee for an outstanding year 20/21 in spite of several unprecedented challenges resulting from the current pandemic.
As a past President of CMI, Saleem stated that he was proud of the Institute’s achievements, by organising a number of ‘virtual’ programs, culminating in the very successful AGM held on Zoom with special guests from CMI UK and the region, and CMI UK CEO Anne Franke as Chief Guest.
He went on to state that the outgoing committee of the branch had worked tirelessly as one dynamic team to ensure success of all their events under the inspiring leadership of the President Kaushal Rajapaksa. He also remarked, that it is no wonder that due to his outstanding leadership, he was unanimously nominated to lead the Institute for a further year 2021/2022.
Fayaz Saleem aptly congratulated the outgoing committee for their outstanding commitment to CMI Sri Lanka and its activities. The outgoing committee comprises Sajith De Silva – 1st Vice President, Rohitha Amarapala – 2nd Vice President, Kamaya Perera – Secretary, Prof. Ajantha Dharmasiri – Asst. Secretary, Chaminda Ediriwickrama – Treasurer, Ramesh Dassanayake – Asst. Treasurer, Exco Members – M.M.S. Quvylidh, Niranjali Weerasekera resigned, Rishantha Mendis, Ninesh Amirthiah Daniel, Chaya Ranaweera, Chaminda De Silva, and Nirmalan Nagendra.
He wished the new Committee members in addition to the existing members, Dr. Lewie Diasz, Dr. Thesara Jayawardane, Graeme Labrooy, Niroshan Peiris and Kaushal an even greater success in the coming year.
