The Management Club Kalutara Chairman Errol Smith was conferred the title of ‘Fellow’ of the Institute of Chartered Professional Managers of Sri Lanka, at its annual convocation, held at the BMICH recently.
Errol is the founder Secretary of TMC Kalutara and was instrumental in setting up the Club. He continues to be the live wire of TMC Kalutara. He is also a Vice President of the Board of Management of TMC, having held the position of Vice President (Administration).
Presently he serves as the Secretary General of the United Nations Association of Sri Lanka (UNASL), which is the sole national affiliate of the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA), in Sri Lanka. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Management of Sri Lanka and currently serves as Chairman of VPI Lanka Ltd.
A great social worker, Errol Smith joined the St. John Ambulance Association in 1976 (44 years ago) and has held all conceivable positions at District level, including that of District Commissioner and presently serves as District President of the St. John Ambulance, Kalutara District.
He is a Lion of 35 years, belonging to the Panadura Club and served on successive District Cabinets in various important positions including Cabinet Treasurer on two occasions and Cabinet Secretary, District 306 A1.
He is also the Secretary of the Sri Lanka-German Friendship Society, Chairman (Projects and Activities) of the Sri Lanka-Indonesian Friendship Association, and holds Life Membership in several other organisations, including the Sri Lanka-Japan Friendship Association.
