Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Parliamentarians yesterday staged a protest outside the Central Bank over the controversial Treasury bond fiasco, demanding the resignation of Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran and calling for a transparent investigation into the case.
Leading SLFP Parliamentarians including Opposition Leader Nimal Siripala De Silva, Mahindananda Aluthgamage, Kumara Welgama, Bandula Gunawardene, John Seneviratne, Lakshman Yapa Abeywardene, Vinayagamurthi Muralidaran, Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, Janaka Bandara Tennakoon, Gamini Lokuge, Namal Rajapaksa and T. B. Ekanayake also participated in the demonstration.
