Common Opposition Presidential Candidate Maithripala Sirisena kicked off his campaign yesterday from Polonnaruwa with a massive rally with the participation of UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe and others. As a symbolic gesture and perhaps indicating what would be the candidate’s symbol several doves were released as well.
