‘World of Outdoor’ opens flagship store

Rainco a leading brand for rainwear in South Asia, ‘unfurled’ their latest venture to the public when they launched ‘World of Outdoor’ (WOO), a concept store at No 185, Baudhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 4, showcasing their latest range of outdoor furniture and accessories.

The Chief Guest at the opening was SLIA Vice President Architect Bernard Gomez, while also present were leading designers and interior decorators, corporates and Colombo’s social elite. 

Speaking on the occasion, Rainco MD Fazal Fausz said, “World of Outdoor offers a comprehensive collection of trendy furniture and accessories to enjoy the outdoor lifestyle and is made to withstand the harsh tropical climate of high humidity, sun and rain.” 

At WOO, all furniture and materials are directly imported from Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Indonesia, Turkey and Taiwan for manufacturing as well as trading processes, while the products on sale include Sun Loungers, Beach Wooden Umbrellas, Cantilever Umbrellas, Teak Furniture, Plastic Furniture, Rattan Furniture, Steel and Aluminium Furniture, Fabric Furniture, Artificial Grass, Hammocks, Cushions, Outdoor Lights, Camping Accessories, Green Walls etc. “Our products are ideally suited for residences, as well as hotels, resorts, villas, restaurants, and apartment blocks, while architects, interior designers, as well as construction companies would find most of their requirements being stocked and imported by us,” said Fausz.

Sri Lanka has 365 days of sun and the World of Outdoor’s range of products is ideal for those who wish to enjoy an alfresco life style in a stylish manner. “We can also custom design, craft and manufacture unique products made of Synthetic, Rattan and Teak Wood in a variety of trendy designs, customised to local needs,” said Head of Operations Razeen Mahroof. 

WOO has a dedicated and trained sales teams focusing on hotels, resorts, villas, restaurants and apartments in Sri Lanka, Maldives, Seychelles, Mauritius and Middle East markets, to customise furniture to any small or large project, while the expert design team can plan a customer’s outdoor space. 

World of Outdoor has a fully fledged manufacturing facility with a workforce of over 300 employees , enabling them to cater to any large scale project orders, with state of the art machinery and a coating plant where they are able to turn out high quality products to fit any location or weather conditions. We design, craft and manufacture unique products made of Synthetic Rattan and Teak Wood in variant designs,” said Mahroof.
