Hilton Colombo will join hands for the fourth consecutive year with Colombo Fashion Week, one of the biggest shows in the fashion industry held annually, which is scheduled to be held from 3 to 5 April at the Grand Ballroom.
Sri Lankan and international designers will be showcasing their designs to an exclusive audience of invites only. Colombo Fashion Week will create a better platform for Sri Lanka as a tourist destination and work towards exploring opportunities for the country as a destination in the fashion industry.
There will be exciting food and beverage offers during the Fashion week. One of the most extravagant promotions will take place at spoons the stylishly casual restaurant where the hotel will be serving up a designer four-course menu prepared by Bocuse d’Or finalist Chef Buddhika, during dinner and two lucky guests will stand a chance to win a diamond horseshoe pendant from the ‘Wild Horse Shoe Equestrian’ collection by Colombo Jewellery Stores on the nights of 3 and 4 April.
Guests could enjoy designer gourmet teas along with the designer high tea buffet from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on 3, 4 and 5 April. Passes to the show could be won at the venue. Award winning mixologists Dain and Chamil will be flaring their best cocktails and mocktails from 9 p.m. onwards at the Thorana Lounge.
The lounge will also have a large video screen telecasting the previous days’ fashion show whilst Warren and Ricky Bahar will entertain you on 3 April and DZone on 5 and 6 April.
Hilton Colombo’s pastry shop Fine Things will showcase ‘Designer’ cup cakes to commemorate the fashion week from 1 to 6 April. Guests will be able to enjoy 10 varieties of designer cup cakes prepared by Sri Lanka’s Best Pastry Chef 2011 winner, Stanley Perera.
Spices will also serve a special international buffet with action cooking from 3 to 5 April and footage of the previous days’ shows will be telecast at this venue.
The Emperor’s Wok will be dishing out a fabulous offer of a whole Peking duck at a very special rate of a minimum of Rs. 5,880 on 4 and 5 April.
