This month Chef Saroj, exec chef, presents a choice of Timbale dishes with Risotto and Tagliolini.
As a dish, a timbale is a ‘deep dish’ filling completely enclosed which can be a sheet pastry, or even slices of vegetable. Sartu di Riso is a rice crust timbale. The filling is Risotto and Tagliolini which is combined with herbs and spices to make it a delectable dish.
The Timbale promotion at The Bayleaf offers Risotto Timbale with Italian rice wrapped with chorizo sausage, tomato and eggplant, Timbale di Melanzana uses overlapping strips of eggplant, with a filling of Tagliolini pasta, fresh mozzarella, and parmesan, Tagliolini Timbale with Tagliolini pasta wrapped with cream, bolognese and mozzarella and Salmone affumicato Timbale – with Risotto – Italian rice filling covered with smoked salmon, parmesan, butter, white wine and topped with a prawn.
